Now you should know how to improve and increase functionality of your WordPress and how to 'bite' plugin configuration. You should be aware that there are two basic plugin groups:

  • - the ones, which should be present in almost every WordPress installation,
  • - optional, precisely involved into service character and its assumed functionality.

In this chapter we will focus on the second group, that are addons, thanks to which you will be able to not only put the new content, but also to realize targets (for example business targets) of your platform. Below you can find a list of plugins, along with short information about their functionality. Clicking on plugin's name will show further details about it.

Before we move to the list, note that, these are only chosen proposition for specific solutions. For most of the tasks, which given plugin realize, many other propositions can be found. All you need to do is type a key word or phrase describing its purpose into WordPress browser(for example Facebook). After that you should dozens or even hundreds results. Others can be found in any browser. Just type something like: 'wordpress plugins'. Then you should check details and opinion about, make a choice and install it.

Ok, one more very important thing about plugin installation, which is related to security. It is important to remember that every added module or plugin, can potentially have an affect on decreasing your website's security. That's why you should follow belowed rules:

  • - install only those plugins, who are mandatory for your service,
  • - install only those plugins, which come from WordPress list, have much more positive opinions then negative ones and keep beeing updated by the author.
  • - all plugins, which you won't use in the future (for example those which had been installed for testing) should be disabled or unisntalled.

There is actually one more thing that you should pay attention to, which is a matter of usefulness of specific plugin in context of you service language version. Let's assume that you have chosen a perfect plugin for your needs, which will expand your service functionality, but it won't support a desirable language version. Of course you can always translate it by yourself, or delegate someone to do it, but that means you will have to put an extra work to it or pay extra money to someone who will do it for you. What's worse, if you choose a plugin to start e-shop, but i won't support desirable currency, which will look bad from customers point of view.
